Rappy

Rappy is a bossing pet that touts extremely high defense (and 7777 Dexterity at Lv 130), at the cost of noticeably lower damage.

If Vulcan is the tanky bossing pet of choice for relatively immobile enemies, then Rappy is the way to go for more mobile ones due to its quicker PAs.

Another potential use of Rappy is for its personality, Early Bird, which reduces the revive time of your other pets while Rappy is equipped - but this doesn't come up much. In most cases, you can simply menu on other Marons to replace your dead Marons instead of wasting time switching to Rappy.

If you both don't have the time to menu on other Marons for some reason, and need a half-decent bossing pet, Rappy's personality may be able to find a use, but consider that a last resort.

Upgraded Candy Box

Rappy Drop Rappy Drop (20 PP)
Rappy slams into the target dealing damage in an area.

Very high DPS when spammed in conjunction with Rykros Staff, but depletes your PP quickly; this isn't practical for extended use! Also functions as a mediocre mobbing PA.

Rappy Drop

Rappy Cannon Rappy Cannon (15 PP)
Rappy launches a rappy barrel which deals damage if you’re locked onto an enemy. Holding down the PA will launch multiple barrels consecutively. Once Rappy has stopped launching barrels, it returns to your side.

Alongside its obvious use as a recall PA, the hold function of this PA is actually a pretty good way to hit mobs that are flying around and being obnoxious.

Rappy Cannon

Rappy End Rappy End / Finisher (40 PP)
Press and hold to summon a tower of rappies and release to deal damage. Charges in 2.5s.

Works well as a pre-charge PA that requires less charge time than Torim/Aero Spiral.

Also, this PA has quite good DPS - if you're not in Alter Ego, where Rykros makes Rappy Sonic your PA of choice, End is an effective DPS tool provided the enemy sits still enough.

Rappy End

Rappy Sonic Rappy Sonic (20 PP)
Rappy strikes six times. Only activates if Rappy is locked onto a target.

Pairs nearly as well with Rykros as Drop, but with greater PP efficiency. Also note that you can normal attack during this PAs animation, which will result in Sonic tracking the enemy if it moves a bit.

With a decent craft of Concentrated Zanverse, you can fully charge and cast Zanverse during the cast animation of Sonic. If you're running a quest where you're using Rappy, and there's no Techer or any other Zanverse caster around, may as well do some extra damage.

Pet damage will only result in Zanverse ticks if the pet is in Zanverse's area of effect - you'll need to cast Zanverse ontop of Rappy, not from a distance.

Rappy Sonic

Rappy Melody Rappy Melody (20 PP)
Rappy sings adorably (Kyu, Kyu!), damages enemies, and heals itself and allies in the area.

This PA's damage isn't particularly impressive, so you really only want to use this if Rappy's low on health.

Note that you can spam this PA to stack up healing ticks - if Rappy is low on HP, button mash for a bit.
