Techniques

On top of using Techs to respond to Pet Sympathy requests, Summoner also uses a handful of other Techniques to support their pets in combat.

Techniques can be obtained by interacting with Visiphones in the main lobby, and selecting Craft > Crafter Search > Technique Customization.
Shifta Shifta
Generate an offensive field that applies a damage buff to you, your pet, and those around you. Shifta at level 17 boosts your pet’s base attack by 19.7%. This is useful either as a means of activating Shifta Sympathy requests, or simply for the damage increase it provides your pets. You should strive to cast Shifta on your pet during any downtime in combat.

When using Rykros, which fires projectiles that scale off of your character’s T-ATK, it’s worth noting that having Shifta applied to yourself, not just your pet, is a damage increase. If you’re not using Rykros, then it’s only important that your pet has Shifta.

Recommended Craft: Multi 3 / Abundant 3

Safoie Safoie Type-0
Rush forward in a wreath of flame. This is the technique you’ll most often use to move around in quests. Be mindful of the fact that this Technique will stop early if it hits an enemy. Aim for as cheap a craft as possible as you’ll be using this Technique often.

Required Craft: Type-0 / Zero Safoie

Deband Deband
Generate a defensive field that applies a damage reduction buff to you, your pet, and those around you. Deband at level 17 boosts your pet’s base defense by 19.7%. Not required most of the time, but sometimes useful in keeping your pet alive versus particularly powerful enemies. This is particularly true when it comes to keeping Synchro alive in much of the current Ultra Hard content, or keeping Redran alive in scary Endless stages (Higher laps, or Intervals in Memories.)

Recommended Craft: Multi 3 / Abundant 3

Zondeel Zondeel
Summon an electromagnetic field that draws enemies towards you. Allows you to pull together large crowds so that your pet can quickly and efficiently kill them all at once. Particularly useful for setting up Jinga Break.

Recommended Craft: Fierce 3 / Dire 3

Ilzonde Ilzonde
Dash forward in a ball of lightning. Unlike Safoie, this does not stop early when it hits an enemy, so having access to Ilzonde alongside Safoie is useful. Less PP efficient than Safoie Type-0, but faster! If you're not strained on PP, leaning into Ilzonde over Safoie a little more can be a way to slightly speed up your runs.

Recommended Craft: Supercharged 3 / Voltaic 3

Zanverse Zanverse
Summon a circle of wind. When damage is dealt by you, your pets, or others in the field, 20% of damage inflicted is inflicted again as wind damage. Cast this before large hits such as Maron Strike, or during downtime before a boss spawns for some extra damage, provided you're not doing anything more important (Giving your pet Shifta, recovering PP, meeting pet Sympathy, etc). Lasts 1.5s uncharged, 5.5s charged.

Recommended Craft: Concentrated 3 / Intense 3

Resta Resta
Heals you, your pet, and all nearby allies. This is useful either for activating Pet Sympathy Resta requests, or simply healing your pets when they’re low on HP. Your pets will take damage, so Resta is a must-have Technique to heal them.

Recommended Craft: Brilliant 3 / Radiant 3

Anti Anti
Removes any harmful status effects that you or your allies are suffering from. Used to remove annoying status effects inflicted outside of Alter Ego such as shock or confusion.

Recommended Craft: Efficient 3 / Potent 3
